The Space technology application project, aims at establishing a centralised platform for data management, visualisation and sharing with relevant departments. Data collected through space technology applications will also help policymakers develop better strategies to cope with problems in Pakistan.

Provision of

Satellite Imagery

The satellite images will provide multispectral details for image classification and merged imagery with maximum detail for feature extraction from image.

The Urban Unit will publish all the satellite images on web portal and departments will be able to access and download them.

Development of

Environmental Data-sets

Air quality monitors will be installed at suitable representative sites in Lahore District.

SUPARCO will do integration of monitoring equipment and SRS data which will result in various data layers such as seasonal trends of particulate matter for Lahore District, validation of low cost sensors, validation of satellite data and application of space technology for emission mapping.
